According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary bold is defined as:
1 a : fearless before danger : intrepid b : showing or requiring a fearless daring spirit
2 : impudent, presumptuous
3 obsolete : assured, confident
4 : sheer, steep
5 : adventurous, free
6 : standing out prominently
7 : being or set in boldface
This is my new project. My new personal goal, that I would like to achieve, and believe it would enhance my life in every respect. I would like to become BOLD. More often than not, I find myself hiding behind the curtains afraid to step out onto the stage. And once I do, I find myself squinting my eyes as the lights flash on. Stunned, I stumble forward and the this auditorium is filled with strangers, family members, past teachers, bosses, ex-lovers; and all eyes and ears are completely directed at ME.
Now, that I am here what do I do? Freeze? Try to give in every need and desire, to entertain each and every individual. Impossible. Shit, now I am short of breath, sweaty palms, PANIC. What do I do in this situation? I can't turn back now, that would cause me a life time of shame and embarrassment. As would a panic attack. I need to just go for it. Let my inner spirit and beauty shine and be shared with all these. I can't hold back, not now, not anymore. The time is NOW.
I have to be bold in all of my actions. Seems simple, but there some many things that make someone bold. In my opinion a bold person is:
1. Someone who knows who they are
2. Someone who is honest
3. Genuine
4. A go getter
5. Speaks their mind
6. Knows how to get they want
7. Aren't afraid of the unknown
8. Actively seeks opportunity
9. Believes and achieves
I am sure there are more. That's all for now. A definition. Next will be steps, a checklist for becoming BOLD.
